by 和楽器バンド [Wagakki Band] | on 八奏絵巻 [yasou emaki]
Translation by Aka

.
sora wo oyogu   kumo wo tomete
ame wo tsuite   katarikakeru
boku wa hitori   kage mo nakute
sugata miezu   samayou kaze
.
I swim in the sky, stop the clouds
I strike the rain and start to speak
I am alone, I have no shadow
My form can’t be seen, the wandering wind
.
.
ano hi kimi wo nokoshi
owari wo tsugeta inochi yo
.
That day, I left you
My life was meant to end
.
.
boku wa shinde   kimi wa hitori
tsumi wo daite   namida kareru
“douka, jibun wo yurushi
kokoro, hodokeru you ni”
.
I die, and you are alone
Harboring a sin, your tears run dry
“Somehow forgive yourself
so that you can release your heart”
.
.
kaze to natte
yasashiku utaikakeru no wa
sotto yorisoi
narihibiku fuurin
yukkuri kieteyuku
.
Becoming the wind
and singing gently,
softly nestling close,
the reverberating wind chime
slowly goes out
.
.
kata wo yosete   kimi no tonari
yume wo misete   katarikakeru
boku wa kyou de   koko wo sarou
saigo no boku no negai wa hitotsu
“douka dare ka wo ai shi
kazoku to nari ikite kure”
.
I come to your shoulder, beside you
I show you a dream, I start to speak
Today, I will leave you here
There’s one last request I have
“Somehow, fall in love with someone,
make a family and live”
.
.
umarekawaru   toki yo   michite
.
Until the time I’m born again comes around
.
.
kaze to natte
itoshiku utaikakeru no wa
sotto yorisoi
nariyamanu fuurin
sora ni kieru
ato wazuka na kono toki yo
kitto mata meguru
sayonara wo shiraseru
narihibiku fuurin
.
Becoming the wind
and singing gently,
softly nestling close,
the endlessly ringing wind chime
Disappearing into the sky
This small amount of time left
It will surely come again,
to remind you of goodbyes
The reverberating wind chime
.
asu ni nareba   kimi wa warau
boku wo wasurete
mata itsuka   au hi made
When tomorrow comes, you’ll smile
and forget about me
Until that day we meet again

+1: I’m not sure if this is a noun with the stem form of the verb (uta utai = I sing a song), or a warped want-to verb (utautai = I want to sing)(the middle ‘u’ should be an ‘i’)
