真夏の嵐 <manatsu no arashi : summer storm>

by FLOPPY | on I am computer music
Lyrics & Music: Sharaku Kobayashi
Translation by Aka (thanks to ooo)

雨が匂う空を見ると
まるで夢の続きみたい
坂を上り振り返れば
遠く見える七里ヶ浜
.
ame ga niou sora wo miru to
marude yume no tsudzuki mitai
saka wo nobori furikaereba
tooku mieru shichirigahama
.
When I look up at the sky that smells like rain
it seems like the dream will continue
If I climb the hill and look back
Shichirigahama can be seen far away +1
.
*波音耳にすると悲しい気持ちになる
雨が全てを流し消してくれる真夏の嵐
.
*namioto mimi ni suru to kanashii kimochi ni naru
ame ga subete wo nagashikeshite kureru manatsu no arashi
.
Hearing the sound of waves, I feel down
The summer storm’s rain will wash everything away for me
.
許されない恋なのなら
せめて一人胸の中に
秘める事で歩き出せる
決意くれたこの稲村
.
yurusarenai koi na no nara
semete hitori mune no naka ni
himeru koto de arukidaseru
ketsui kureta kono inamura
.
If it was a love that couldn’t be permitted
at least it’s in the heart of one person
Keeping it to myself, I can walk away
This Inamura gave me a decision
+2
.
**潮風頬に受けて明日に思い馳せる
私をどこか遠く連れて行って真夏の嵐
.
**shiokaze hoo ni ukete asu ni omoihaseru
watashi wo doko ka tooku tsurete itte manatsu no arashi
.
As the salty breeze touches my cheek, my thoughts turn to tomorrow
Summer storm, take me somewhere far away

+1: Shichirigahama is a small village and station between Kamakura and Enoshima. It seems to be famous as the railway crossing by the sea in a lot of anime and dramas.
+2: Inamuragasaki is the next station down the Enoden line.

your translation is really great! and many good information. Thank you. I think the last part is more, “-, I think about or imagine tomorrow. Please summer storm, Take me somewhere far away.” Love this site. have a nice day! : )
