Saraba Seishun no Hikari

さらば青春の光 <saraba seishun no hikari : Farewell, Light of Youth>

by GalapagosS | on Slowly But Surely
Lyrics & Music: Sharaku Kobayashi
Translated by Aka

.
*taisetsu na isshun
.
**saraba bokutachi no seishun no hibi yo
taguriyoserezuni mitsumeru kiseki
saredo bokutachi wa ima wo ikite yuku
honoka na omoi mo tsutsumikometa nara
.
*
**
**
Just like a late-night movie I saw long ago,
Second by second I notice it end
I noticed your heart was elsewhere, but
It wasn’t something to last forever, was it?
.
*A precious moment
.
**Farewell, our youthful days
Unable to draw it in, just staring at the tracks +1
Even so, we will now go on living
Even if we are wrapped up with faint feelings
.
*
**
**

+1: Damn hard line. ‘kiseski’ means a locus or path one has taken, and working that meaning into the lyrics proves very hard. I’m assuming it’s the tracks of their relationship.
